National Eye Hospital
National Eye Hospital is the top level tertiary eye care hospital in Sri Lanka. This was established in the era of British government as an Eye and ENT hospital and became "Victoria Memorial Eye Hospital" in 1962.This Hospital now consists of an OPD, 18 wards with 485 beds, one HDU, 6 Operation Theaters with 12 operation tables. There are 9 consultant eye surgeons working in the National Eye Hospital together with 2 consultant anesthetists, a consultant physician, and a consultant pathologist.
